We guarantee our service turnaround time of 5 work days or the service is on us!*

We also recognize that racers may need faster and broader support.
If we are at a race, which we frequently are, our technical staff provides free help to fine-tune adjustments and set up suspensions properly to achieve optimal performance.

We can also provide emergency repair service in the event a racer needs minor repairs to be done so that he can save his racing weekend.

In the event you need fast support prior to a race, we offer a premium NEXT DAY service.  We guarantee, if we receive your shocks, we will service and/or repair them and ship them the following business day*.

     * Contingent on estimate approval & receipt of shocks.

WHEN DO YOU NEED TO SERVICE
Well maintained shocks are key for great performance and life of the shock.  The maintenance and service schedule below gives general guidelines for maintaining your HALO shock in tip-top shape.  For specific maintenance and service for your particular model, refer to the Owner’s Manual for detailed information.

HALO recommends you inspect your shocks before and after each use to spot any problems.

Maintenance frequency
Maintenance frequency may vary depending on the number of hours the vehicle is driven and the conditions under which it is ridden. Heat, impacts, dirt and adjustments are all factors that need to be taken into consideration in determining the frequency of basic maintenance and oil changes. HALO recommends sending your shock absorbers to our Factory Service Department  or to an Authorized Service Dealer for your maintenance requirements and oil changes.

CLEANING YOUR SHOCK
Cleaning procedures for HALO shock absorbers.

For cleaning, use a gentle detergent and soft cloth and brush.  Do not use any abrasive cleaning products. Remove debris and dirt under bumpers, spring and guards.

  1. Do not use compressed air when cleaning the seal head as this can damage the seals.
  2. After washing, wipe shaft clean with a soft cloth.
  3. Remove springs and clean the threads using a soft brush.
  4. Clean around the rebound adjustment knob so that no foreign particles damage the adjustment mechanism.
  5. Clean around the compression adjustment knob(s) with a soft cloth.
  6. Clean beneath the bottom out bumper with a soft cloth.
  7. Remove and clean crossover spacers.

SERVICE PROCEDURE FOR SHOCKS
Servicing your shock absorbers with HALO’s  Factory Service Department is easy.
Just call us and we’ll walk you right through it!
The steps we take are as follows:

  1. Call our Customer Service Department to get a Service Number at 1-203-380-1105. This number is mandatory for all incoming service. Without this Service number, no service can be done.
  2. Our Customer Service Department will go through the type of service you want.   We will email or fax you a copy of the service you want.
  3. Wrap your shocks individually before placing them in a box to avoid damage during shipping. Any damage occurring during shipping is your responsibility. Full shipping insurance is recommended.
  4. We recommend that you ship via UPS.
  5. Wait for a call from our technicians to confirm reception. Standard turn-around time is 5 work days from the moment we receive your package and verification of the estimate.  Premium emergency service is even quicker.
